Intentions Checklist (Choose 2 to 4 as per situation)
- I will try my best to keep my gaze lowered.
- Initiate greetings with a good intention.
- Respond to greetings politely.
- Recite: “Sallu ‘alal Habib! ﷺ”
- Show genuine care and ask about others' well-being.
- If asked about my health, I’ll say: “Alhamdulillah”.
- Respond when someone sneezes.
- If I sneeze and say “Alhamdulillah”, reply accordingly.
- Treat people according to their status and manners.
- Speak with people according to their level of understanding.
- Think before I speak.
- Use respectful words like "Sir", "Madam", or "Dear".
- Smile during conversations (Sunnah).
- Avoid unnecessary speech.
- Refrain from yelling or speaking loudly.
- Avoid sarcasm and mocking.
- Refrain from unnecessary objections.
- Respond gently to anger or harshness.
- Avoid dragging or prolonging the conversation.
- Speak concisely and to the point.
- Stay away from lies or exaggerated statements.
- Don’t blindly agree without understanding.
- Avoid fake praise or flattery.
- Listen attentively without interrupting.
- Don’t cut someone off mid-sentence.
- Avoid pretending not to hear when I actually understood.
- Refrain from political commentary.
- Avoid unnecessary discussions about terrorism.
- Don’t speak ill of absent individuals (backbiting/slander).
- Stay away from gossip or tale-bearing.
- Say “Turn to Allah in repentance” if needed.
- Encourage goodness and righteousness.
- If needed, explain through writing or gestures.
- Avoid confusing or off-topic arguments.
- Do not hurt anyone’s feelings.
- Congratulate others on good news.
- Express empathy during times of distress.
- Send greetings on behalf of others.
- Make heartfelt supplications for forgiveness.
- Bid farewell with peace and prayers.
